GAUGE SIZE
It is almost impossible to show the jewelry online to the exact size.
When showing your jewelry, we sometimes expand the size of the jewelry so that you can view the body details more closely.
Therefore, to judge the size of the jewelry you will need to examine the body of the jewelry proportionately to the given size.
Basically, there are 4 ways to measure the size of your body jewelry: Diameters, Lengths, Ball Size, and Gauges.
1. Ball size is the diameter of the ball in millimeters (3mm, 4mm.).
2. Diameter is the internal diameter which is measured on the inside body of the ring (1/2" dia.)
3. Length is the size of the shaft, measured from one end before the ball to the other end before the other jewelry attachment (normally another ball). The normal size for a shaft is 7/16" L.
4. Gauge (G) is the body thickness of the jewelry. The lower the number, the thicker the jewelry, 4G is bigger than 6G. Below is the Gauge Chart:
